Art in Apple
Apple have continued their 'Earth art' topic by painting stones! We explored making patterns and are now in the process of painting rocks to look like animals. We have also been busy writing setting descriptions in Literacy, researching endangered animal species in Science and having as much fun as we can!

Tadpoles in Apple
Apple Class were very lucky today. One of the children collected frog spawn a few weeks ago and has been observing the metamorphosis into tadpoles. He very kindly (and carefully!) brought a small tank into class ready for show and tell. The children were amazed and full of curiosity, asking questions about what tadpoles eat and how they turn into frogs. What a wonderful show and tell!

Weekly Round Up
Welcome back to the start of term 5! The time is flying by and we have had some wonderful weather! The children have settled in well and are enjoying their new topics for the term. Art in Apple
Welcome back to a new term! We have started our new topic 'What a wonderful world' by focusing on our new class text 'We are water protectors' and wrote some super poems. Linked to this, we completed a science investigation about saving water. We found that if we left the tap on while we washed our hands, we used 3.5l of water compared to just 500ml if we turned the tap off! What a difference! Weekly Roundup
It’s a bumper edition of the roundup this week! We held our Spring Concert on Tuesday- it was just magical to hear all of the children performing in the beautiful Swainswick church. Everyone did fantastically, and we were treated to a range of performances, including singing, instrumental performances and even a piece including technology! To see pictures, click here. Easter Service at Woolley Church
Today, the sun was shining as we walked across the valley to Woolley. During our Easter service, we sang, listened to prayers and poems and heard from Reverend Cath, who shared an Easter reflection with us. It was lovely to spend time all together reflecting on the new life that Easter brings.

Spring concert success!

Friends Egg Hunt and Cake Sale
We have had the most fantastic time after school hunting for clues to win an Easter egg, and enjoying delicious bakes from the cake sale. Thank you to Friends for organising such a lovely event- what a great way to begin Easter celebrations!
