We have had a super week in Apple Class! The reception children have been working hard in phonics, practising their letter formation and being very creative in drawing club. It has been a lovely first day at Swainswick Church School, and we couldn’t have asked for a more positive start to the new school year. As the new Head of School, I have really enjoyed meeting so many of the children, visiting the classrooms and sharing our hopes for the new year though our first assembly. It's been another jam-packed week of exciting events. Hazel class have wowed us all with their amazing performances of, 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.' Their singing and acting was fantastic, and the production shared very moving messages- being kind is the most important thing, you are enough just as you are, don't compare yourself to anyone else and home is where your friends and family are. It was hard to find dry eyes in the house as the performance took place

Today, we were lucky enough to enjoy a performance from Leo's Dad's band to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stevie Wonder's album. They treated us all to 3 songs, and even let us play on their instruments! We had such a wonderful time. WOW! What a week it's been. We've kicked off with a bang! Oak class put on the most phenomenal production of Pirates of the Curry Bean! The singing, dancing and acting was brilliant, and it was wonderful to have so many of you join us for this great evening performance.
