Busy in Apple and Robin Class

We have had a super week in Apple Class!

The reception children have been working hard in phonics, practising their letter formation and being very creative in drawing club. They have also had lots of fun with their year 6 buddies.

Year 1 and 2 have continued to work on different types of sentences and gave some good advice to the orangutan from our class book 'There's a rang-tan in my bedroom.' We have also explored number lines in maths.

In the afternoons, Robin's have learned about the 4 layers of the rainforest, created wonderful shadow puppets, enjoyed music with George and our first (slightly damp) forest school session of the year.

We also had a great time on Wednesday morning when Alice came in to share some stories with the children. Thank you, Alice!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
