Admissions

The standard number for Swainswick C.E. Primary School is 12, which means we have space for 12 children to start in our Reception Class each year. Places are allocated according to the school's admission policy (please see below).

Applications for children to start in the Reception Class need to be made in the January preceding the September in which they start school.

Bath & Wells Multi-Academy Trust are now the Admissions authority for this school.

The school's process for applications for the 'normal' admission round for Reception is through the local authority.

Admissions Procedure

Children are admitted into Swainswick Church School according to the school’s Admissions Policy.

Governors liaise with Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES) Local Authority (LA), who co-ordinate start-of-year (i.e. September start) admission applications for all schools in the BaNES area. All details about the procedures can be found on the LA website or email admissions_transport@bathnes.gov.uk
