Little Solsbury Hill
Last week, Oak Class enjoyed an excellent outdoor learning experience to the Iron Age hillfort on Little Solsbury Hill, expertly led by Mr Rouse. Before leaving school, the children decorated their faces and arms with Celtic-inspired patterns using face paint. With many dressed in tunics, the class looked every bit like a tribe ready for exploration. Oak Class – Exploring Stonehenge
This week, the children in Oak Class delved into the mysteries of Stonehenge. They explored the many theories about why it was built – whether as a giant calendar linked to astronomy, a place of healing, or a site for important ceremonies – and debated which explanations they found most convincing. We are looking forward to our trip to Stonehenge next week!
