A busy week in Apple/Robins

This week, the children have finished their insect shadow puppets, created fact files about animals that live in the rainforest and wrote some fantastic setting descriptions about the rainforest, based on our class text 'There's a rang-tan in my bedroom'. Reception have been exploring how much liquid different types of containers can hold.

Robins also enjoyed a visit to the Guildhall in Bath to attend a session with children's author Kes Gray, who shared some of his poems and talked about his new book, Pooems: A Book of Pooey Poetry. The children loved listening to his entertaining stories and poems, and were delighted to receive their own copy of Pooems to take home.

We were incredibly proud of the children, who represented the school brilliantly throughout the visit.

What a wonderful week, well done!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
