Weekly Round Up 6.11.26

It has been a positive first week back after half term, with the children settling quickly into their learning and working hard across the school. We were delighted to return to St. Mary's Church this morning for our Celebration Assembly. It was lovely to gather together in such a special setting and celebrate the many achievements and successes from across the school.

Our Year 6 Prefects have now begun their new roles and responsibilities. We know they will be excellent role models for our younger pupils and look forward to seeing the positive contribution they make to school life.

In our Values Assembly this week, the children learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We explored the significance of this important Hindu celebration and reflected on its themes of hope, kindness and the triumph of light over darkness.

Other news:

Thank you to all parents and carers who took the time to complete our recent school day questionnaire. We are currently reviewing the responses and will share any key findings and next steps as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work through the feedback.

A polite reminder that a funeral will be taking place at the church next door on the afternoon of Tuesday 10th November. We kindly ask parents and carers to be especially considerate with parking on this day and to allow extra time where possible. Thank you for your understanding and support.

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
