Continuing science in Apple

Apple class have continued our focus on science, learning about more inventors and conducting more investigations!

We started by learning about Thomas Edison and investigated how we can make our own circuits

We then moved on to Maggie Aderin-Pocock, a scientist who worked on the Aeolus project, a satellite which investigates wind speed to help measure climate change. Although we don't have access to the satellite, we investigated wind direction by making our own weather vanes.

Finally, we investigated whether sound can pass through materials, learning about Alexander Graham-Bell and making our own string telephones.

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
