This week, Oak Class historians have been busy stepping into the shoes of Stone Age people and learning in the most fun way possible – just like in "Horrible Histories." The children were challenged to create persuasive adverts all about why the bow and arrow is a far superior choice to a simple stone. Using powerful, persuasive language to convince the audience, the children dressed as prehistoric people. As always, confident and very entertaining! In IT, the children start

Weekly Roundup
We’ve had a brilliant start to the term. The children have settled back into the routines of school really well- it’s been a busy week! In assembly, we have started thinking about our value for the term, ‘thankfulness’. We listened to a story about a couple who were granted 3 magic wishes in return for their integrity, but they were so busy arguing about what to wish for they ended up losing them all! Exciting sound investigations in Oak
In Oak Class we have been exploring sound and starting to discover how it travels. A highlight of our week was when our “Lead Scientist” used a set of tuning forks to introduce the science behind sound waves. The class was captivated with an experiment that involved dipping a vibrating tuning fork into a bowl of water. As soon as the tuning fork touched the surface, it created ripples that danced across the water. This demonstration helped the children visualize how sound w
