Maths and art in Hazel

This week, Hazel Class have continued their work on fractions.

We have explored unit and non-unit fractions, and the children can now confidently explain the roles of the denominator and numerator. They also practised ordering fractions and showed great progress in comparing their sizes. 

In Art, we finished the term by creating our own map “tiles.” The class spent time arranging these tiles to form a beautiful collage. We also revisited last week’s ‘stained glass’ maps — the photos look fantastic, and we thought they were absolutely awesome!
