Preparing for printing in Apple class

This week, we have been making ocean printing blocks ready to print with next week. We were inspired by our focus stories 'Lost and Found' and 'The Rainbow fish', which both contain ocean animals. Last week, we did careful observational drawings of a variety of ocean creatures using photographs as a reference. This week, we used our lovely line drawings to create designs on our printing blocks, thinking about spacing and sizing of images. We used a special type of foam as printing blocks. We had to press really hard when we were drawing to make the printing block. We can't wait to see how our printing turns out next week!
