From small acorns grow mighty oaks!

This week, Oak Class historians have been busy stepping into the shoes of Stone Age people and learning in the most fun way possible – just like in "Horrible Histories." The children were challenged to create persuasive adverts all about why the bow and arrow is a far superior choice to a simple stone. Using powerful, persuasive language to convince the audience, the children dressed as prehistoric people.  As always, confident and very entertaining!

In IT, the children started to learn about programming and created their own Star Wars game in a galaxy far, far away.  Using drag-drop blocks, the children had great fun programming a droid.

And that’s not all! The children planted acorns earlier in September and they have started to grow.  We now have two small oak "trees" sitting on the windowsill in the classroom.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
