Last week, Oak class has a special visit from the Avon Fire and Rescue team. The children were enthusiastic to learn essential skills in water and fire safety around the home. They worked in groups, asking lots of great questions and gaining valuable knowledge to ensure their safety. It was both educational and fun for everyone involved!

Sebastian said, "It was fun and taught us a lot about fire and water safety." Briar said, "My favourite activity was the fire alarm activity." Another pupils said that the most helpful thing he learnt was to 'smother and cover' if someone was not able to 'stop, drop and roll.'

REMEMBER: If there's a fire, GET OUT, STAY OUT, CALL 999.

REMEMBER: If you fall into water, FLOAT TO LIVE. Stretch out your arms and legs and lie back in the water.

This information is not a secret; share this information with friends, family and people who are in those situations.

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
