This week in Science, Apple class have been learning about minibeasts, microhabitats and exploring the natural world in our school grounds. We looked at different minibeast habitats, discussed who lives where and why different animals prefer different homes. Year 1 and 2 did a fantastic job of recording their ideas, and Reception used our magnifiers and bug catchers to examine some wildlife in the school grounds. Some children made a beautiful bug hotel during the week, and we were all amazed when a real robin came to visit and posed for a picture (we've called him Bertie!). What an exciting week!
