In Oak Class we have been exploring sound and starting to discover how it travels.  A highlight of our week was when our “Lead Scientist” used a set of tuning forks to introduce the science behind sound waves.  The class was captivated with an experiment that involved dipping a vibrating tuning fork into a bowl of water. In Oak Class this week, we enjoyed a formal debate with a very important question: "Should a solar and turbine farm be built in Swainswick valley?"  Using their teamwork skills, the children prepared persuasive arguments to lead the discussion. We’ve had a brilliant week full of creativity, exploration, and collaboration! In Maths, the children explored measuring in metres and centimetres by working in pairs outdoors, using metre sticks to measure each other and objects around them. It was wonderful to see their teamwork and practical application of measurement skills. In Science, pupils used iPads to create their own classification keys for animals, developing their understanding of how living things are grouped. T
