Maths Challenges and Literary Magic

Last week was full of exciting learning experiences across the curriculum. In Maths, the children enjoyed taking their learning outdoors, working with a partner to solve negative number calculations.

In Science, the children had great fun making their own periscopes. They put their understanding of light into practice by exploring how light travels in straight lines and reflects off mirrors to allow us to see objects from different angles.

We also had an excellent time at the Children's Literature Festival. The children were thoroughly entertained by the magic tricks of Ross Welford, author of The Diary of Prince Kal the Alien, and enjoyed hearing about his experiences as a writer. It was a memorable event that inspired a love of reading and creativity.

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
