Hazel Class have had a wonderfully hands‑on week of learning.
Science sparked plenty of excitement as the children explored how electricity flows through a complete series circuit. They experimented with bulbs, buzzers and motors, discovering how each component behaves when the circuit is correctly connected. There was a real sense of achievement as lights flickered on, buzzers buzzed and motors whirred into action. The children also enjoyed using switches to control their circuits, showing great curiosity and teamwork throughout.
Outdoors, we’ve been preparing for the RSPB Great Schools Birdwatch. Some children also had the opportunity to help set up our new bird feeder and discussed which birds we might spot over the coming weeks. They’re already eager to observe, record and learn more about the wildlife visiting our school grounds.
It’s been a brilliant week full of discovery, collaboration and enthusiasm. We’re looking forward to seeing what next week brings!
