Weekly Round Up

As we reach the end of week 4, we must say a massive well done to the year 6 children! What a week! You have all done an amazing job with SATS and we are very proud of you. Thanks also to the parent volunteers who helped things run smoothly this week, and a big thank you to Mrs Coleman for all of the fantastic teaching and support she has shown to year 6!

Our Christian value for the term is trust. In celebration assembly this week, we talked about how it is important to trust yourself. In 'Onwards', the character Ian has to cross a canyon and his magic spell creates an invisible bridge, but it only works when he shows trust in himself. We linked this to our wonderful year 6 children and how they have trusted their own knowledge and skills this week to complete their SATs. Dora also likened this to learning to ride a bike - your parents support you in learning to ride the bike, but there is always that point when they let go of the bike. This is where some people fall off, because they panic and don't trust that they can do it. However, if you have faith in yourself and trust your skills, you will succeed. Great analogy, Dora!

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
