Hockey, SATs and David Attenborough's 100th birthday!

This week, our Year 6 children completed their SATs with splendid focus and determination. We could not be more proud of them.  All the children brought in special cuddly toys for good luck, which added a lovely touch of comfort and fun to the week.  To celebrate the end of SATs, the children also enjoyed a well-deserved Domino’s pizza delivery, which brought plenty of excitement.

Last Friday, Oak Class joined millions around the world in celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.  The children quickly crafted animal masks and gathered around the Jubilee tree to sing “Happy Birthday” to the inspiring braodcaster and naturalist.  It was a joyful moment that connected us to this remarkable “national treasure”.

And, Oak Class are continuing to develop their hockey skills with Louise our coach from Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club.  Now into our third week, the children are developing good stick control and growing confidence with running around dribbling a ball.  Their enthusiasm and teamwork has been wonderful to see.

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
