Apple Class

Apple have been working very hard (as always) on our topic 'What a wonderful world'.

In Art, we made collages using natural materials and produced some amazing work!

In Geography, we focused on what we could see from aerial views. We identified physical features of different areas and whether they were natural or man-made.

In Science, we investigated animals of the rainforest, classifying animals as reptiles, amphibians, birds or mammals and came up with a list of research questions. This included ideas such as 'How many trees are in the Amazon Rainforest?' (approximately 400 billion!), 'What new species have been discovered this year?' (lots - including the pygmy long-fingered possum) and 'Do capybaras live in rainforests around the world?' (They are only found in South America - apart from Chile).

Reception spent some time in the green room completing their maths work - 'how many more?'.

Finally, in Literacy we finished out work on 'We are water protectors' by writing a performing persuasive speeches, encouraging people to join us in fighting back against the installation of oil pipes through important areas of nature.

What a busy week!

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
