Leaver's Service 2026!

We spent time together this morning at Swainswick Church celebrating the end of a brilliant year. We said some special goodbyes to Miss Dawn, Miss Griffin, Miss Press, who are all moving on to new adventures next year, and of course, goodbye to Year 6. I was very surprised when the programme was interrupted to say goodbye to me also- this was very kind of everyone.
Year 6 shared a wonderful service, including some favourite songs (Singsational, Leaver's Song and Anchor's Away), memories and inspirational quotes all to a 'Traitors' theme. Reverend Cath and Reverend Dave joined us to wish year 6 well as they head off to new adventures and gave each of the children a Bible from the Church. Parents, carers and families shared a beautiful photo slideshow, with pictures of the children's time at Swainswick from Reception to Year 6. It was lovely to look back on these special memories.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped to organise the event, took part in setting up, clearing away and to everyone attended the service. It was a lovely way to begin our final week of this academic year
