What a week it’s been! In addition to all of the fantastic learning that has been happening in classes, we’ve had some very hot weather and road closures at Swainswick. Thank you all so much for your patience and support adapting to the change in plans for drop off/ pick up arrangements so quickly, and helping the children to get in and out of school safely. I have spoken on the phone with Wessex Water today, who have advised that the works should be finished today. We are planning for drop off and pick up to return to normal on Monday. If on Monday morning we need to return to the arrangements we have been using yesterday and today, we will email you as early as possible to let you know.
Sports day
Our postponed sports day has been re-arranged for Friday 27th June from 1.45-2.45pm in the Wills’ field (adjacent to school). Thank you so much to the Wills family for enabling us to use this space. As before, families are welcome to join us and cheer on the children. All children will return to school after the event and will need to be collected by their adults in the usual way. This will enable staff to ensure all children go home safely with their adults.
BWMATFest!
Staff had a fantastic day at the BWMATFest! on Wednesday, hearing from lots of brilliant speakers. We attended sessions on Leadership, AI, and curriculum development to name just a few! The sun was shining, and it was a brilliant day of learning and networking for everyone.
