Weekly Round Up

What a busy week! Despite the bank holiday, we have been working very hard - and making sure we have lots of fun.

Mrs Simmons and Mrs Boyce spent Thursday at the Trust Safeguarding conference, thinking all about recent safeguarding updates. They have brought back lots of interesting updates to share with staff.

Our Christian value for the term is trust. In celebration assembly this week, we talked about how it is important to show that you are trustworthy. We thought about Woody and Buzz in Toy Story, and how Woody's behaviour stopped the other toys from trusting him - which almost led to disaster! The children had some great ideas about this and one child summarised it very nicely with 'treat others as you want to be treated'. Well done everyone!

Governor Vacancies:  Currently, we are looking to recruit three more volunteers to join our Trust Local Committee (TLC). TLC members work closely with the school leaders to help ensure that the school provides the best possible education for all pupils. They do not typically get involved in the day-to-day running of the school, but play a vital strategic role. TLC members come from a range of backgrounds and bring a variety of skills and experiences to the role. This helps ensure that decisions are well informed and made in the best interests of the pupils and the wider school community. If you are interested in becoming a Governor at Swainswick or finding out more about this role, please contact Christine Iles: christine.iles@swainswick.bwmat.org

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
