Welcome back to the start of term 5! The time is flying by and we have had some wonderful weather!

The children have settled in well and are enjoying their new topics for the term. Larkhall house enjoyed their reward for earning the most house points last term. Click here to see pictures.

Our Christian value for the term is trust. In celebration assembly this week, we talked about what this means and explored how we can both show trust and be trustworthy. The thought about the triangle of trust, which says that to be trustworthy, you should be authentic, have empathy and show logic. We explored how the triangle of trust applied to different animals in the story 'The selfish crocodile'.

In other news:

Governor Vacancies:  Currently, we are looking to recruit three more volunteers to join our Trust Local Committee (TLC). TLC members work closely with the school leaders to help ensure that the school provides the best possible education for all pupils. They do not typically get involved in the day-to-day running of the school, but play a vital strategic role. TLC members come from a range of backgrounds and bring a variety of skills and experiences to the role. This helps ensure that decisions are well informed and made in the best interests of the pupils and the wider school community. If you are interested in becoming a Governor at Swainswick or finding out more about this role, please contact Christine Iles: christine.iles@swainswick.bwmat.org

After school club: After school club runs at Swainswick from Monday - Thursday, after school until 5.30pm for £12.50 per pupil, per session. Children can enjoy the school grounds and have fun building, creating and playing with their friends. There are often spaces available so if your child would like to attend after school club, please book on the Arbor app.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
