On Monday morning, Hazel class were visited by a friendly Viking called Thorgerson, as part of our Viking unit this term. We had a super day, and learnt all about Viking food and drink; we re-enacted a court scene when we found out about Viking crime and punishment; we handled a range of replica Viking artefacts, including amulets, helmets, armour, cups, panpipes and hammers; we practised battle tactics and using weapons; and we learnt interesting historical facts!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
