This week in Oak Class, the Stone Age topic has truly captured the imagination of some the children! During playtime, they decided to recreate a Stone Age camp. With super teamwork and creativity, the children constructed a ‘campfire’ using sticks and stones.
In our science lessons, the children continued investigating the fascinating world of sound, with a particular focus on pitch. The children used rulers to explore how different lengths can affect the sounds we hear. By using the rulers as simple instruments, the children discovered that shorter rulers produced higher-pitched sounds, while longer rulers created lower-pitched ones.
