Hazel Class had a fantastic trip to Stonehenge and enjoyed a wonderful day of learning in beautiful sunshine!
Throughout the day, the children were exceptionally well behaved and represented the school brilliantly. They took part in an exciting Neolithic workshop where they completed three engaging activities. First, they worked together to build a model magnetic Stonehenge and explored how the stones create shadows during the solstice. They also had the opportunity to feel authentic materials and try on Neolithic clothing, which helped bring history to life. Finally, they enjoyed STEM-based challenges, investigating how people in the Stone Age may have moved enormous stones and placed them upright using ancient methods.
The class then visited the real stones, where they listened carefully to some fascinating facts, and had the chance to pose for pictures!
It was a memorable and educational experience for everyone, and a great day was had by all. Well done Hazel class and thank you to the volunteers for helping!
