Finding change in Hazel class

What another super (and very hot!) week it has been in Hazel Class. The children have been absolutely brilliant.

We have been working incredibly hard on our class production. The songs are sounding wonderful, and the play is really coming together beautifully. We cannot wait to share it with you!

In English, the children have worked exceptionally hard writing, editing and publishing their own version of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse from the fox’s point of view. Their writing has been incredible, showing so much empathy, kindness and understanding. I have been so impressed with the thoughtful ideas they have included.

Hazel class enjoying a well-earnt break after production practise - made even nicer by the arrival of Mr. Griggs, with an ice lolly, just before the end of school. Thank you Mr. Griggs!!

In Maths, we have been finishing our topic on money with some role-play activities. Although I’m not sure Hazel Class would call it role play—it was very serious business! The classroom was full of transactions, trading and careful money management as the children put their learning into practice.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
