DT fun in Apple

This week, Apple class have been busy working on a DT project. We have worked hard to design and make our own model cars and were very lucky to have help from the year 6 children on Tuesday, getting us off to a great start! By Thursday, our cars were complete and we are now evaluating our projects against our design criteria. Next week we are going to work with Oak class to hold a car race!

In Literacy, Year 1 and 2 have written a diary entry in role as Rosie Revere, where the children worked hard to use exclamations, statements, questions and commands, while Reception children enjoyed drawing cub activities such as designing a party for Rosie and thinking about what came next.

In Maths, Year 1 and 2 have been learning about fractions and Reception have finished their unit '8, 9, 10' by playing games.

Another super week in Apple Class!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
