On Friday, Swainswick joined a very special event, a once-in-a-lifetime live broadcast from Antarctica with Robert Swan OBE, and Jenny Cooke, co-founder of the 2041 School charity. Streaming 600 miles from the South Pole (in -20 degree temperatures), Rob shared stories from the ice, discussed the importance of protecting our planet’s frozen continent, and talked about why the 2041 School charity is important. The video can be watched here.

We were one of 5,000 schools from around the globe to join the broadcast, and found it really interesting! We also received a certificate for taking part!

“She has really benefited from the different ages mixing, she often talks of the older children.

We feel all the staff know her, which is so special.”
