Amnesty International Week

During term 4, the school took part in the first ‘Amnesty International Week’ in a primary school. Inspirational workshops and activities where held throughout the week for all the children and were led by Natlalie May. The project followed on from visits that Natalie led in term 2. Learning about the universal declaration of rights: the children focused on immigration, the journey of an orange and carried out independent studies of human rights issues across the globe. The wonderful week ended with the children presenting to each other what they had learnt during assembly. Natalie was very impressed with the children and plans are being put in place to collaborate on a regular basis.
